PowerZone Kids, out of the scriptures you’ve been working on, the following are the ones we will be presenting on December 20. Also, parents, please have your kids wear black pants that morning. We will provide a shirt for their presentation.
Here are the scriptures…
Behold the lamb of God, which takes the away the sin of the world.
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death even, death on a cross.
Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.
A man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith of Jesus Christ
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Hey PowerZone Kids, don’t forget to work on your memory verses. We know it may be a lot, but they are all verses we’ve worked on this year. You can do it!
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints… Ephesians 6:10-18
The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. Nahum 1:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. Galatians 2:16
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:6
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 1 Samuel 15:22b
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse Deuteronomy 11:26
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:8
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19
And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. Malachi 3:11
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5
He that shall humble himself shall be exalted. Matthew 23:12b
For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. Mark 1:27b
PowerZone Kids, don’t forget to work on this week’s memory verse:
Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15:22
Our PowerZone kids have been preparing for Easter! They have been reading and studying the events leading up to the resurrection of our Lord. To help them in their studies, we have sent home some scripture readings to work on throughout the week. Parents, please initial that they have read them as well as the memory verses they are working on.
Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world.
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live
The Christmas Season is upon us, and this means it’s time for PowerZone’s annual White Christmas Sunday. On Sunday, December 14 (right after the skit), the children will be able to use their earned PowerZone dollars to purchase gifts for family and friends.
One thing we really stress in PowerZone is that we are blessed to be a blessing! We will be offering several opportunities for the children to earn extra PowerZone dollars to purchase gifts. From now until December 7, have your child bring in canned goods and toothbrushes and toothpaste so they can earn PowerZone dollars. These items will be donated to Bethany House and House of Mercy.
Also, we encourage you to help your children study and memorize PowerZone’s foundation Scripture, Ephesians 6:10-18. There will be a big reward for this! Every Sunday, the children are reminded to bring their Bibles, the previous week’s memory verse, and their offering to church in order to earn PowerZone dollars, too. There are also other opportunities to earn PowerZone dollars during class which will help our younger and new children just joining PowerZone to have enough money to participate in White Christmas Sunday.
The children are really excited and look forward to this event all year! Thank you for helping us in teaching your children.
Attention all PowerZone and OnTrack kids and parents: this year’s Christmas program will be on Sunday, December 14. If your child is interested in being a part of our Christmas drama this year, please contact Pastor Karrianne as soon as possible. There are 14 speaking roles and several non-speaking roles for our younger ones. Rehearsals will be scheduled soon.
